Roots Wood Machinery is a connector for Muse, Meta’s AI agent. It helps you find used and new industrial machinery and related goods that we can source from Japan, get an estimate, send a sourcing request, and book a meeting, all from a conversation with Muse.

Who runs it

Roots Wood is a sole proprietorship based in Noda, Chiba, Japan. The connector runs at rootswood-mcp.toolmaker2001.uk, on a domain we own and operate for global trade. We keep it separate from this website for security reasons.

How sourcing works

We do not hold stock. We source each item after you make a request.

  1. Search our catalog of machinery we can usually source, with estimated prices and lead times.
  2. Send a sourcing request for the item you want. Muse asks for your approval first.
  3. We look for the item and check its condition.
  4. We send a final quote with the seller, full price, currency, included costs, and validity period.
  5. If you accept, we confirm your order by email and arrange shipment.

Estimated prices and lead times are not offers. If we cannot source an item, we tell you and close the request at no charge.

What you can do

  • Search the catalog by machine type, maker, model, and year
  • See details for a catalog entry, including the estimated price and lead time
  • Get an estimate that includes freight to your country
  • Send, change, or cancel a sourcing request
  • Check whether a request is in progress, secured, quoted, confirmed, unavailable, or cancelled
  • Book, change, or cancel a meeting with us

Example requests

  • Find a used Yamaha outboard motor under 30 horsepower that you can source.
  • What is the estimated price and lead time for the second one?
  • Estimate the total cost delivered to Singapore.
  • Send a sourcing request for that model.
  • What is the status of my sourcing request?
  • Book a 30-minute call with the seller next Tuesday afternoon.

How to connect

  1. In Muse, open Settings and then Connectors.
  2. Find Roots Wood Machinery and tap Connect.
  3. Sign in or create an account, and choose the access you allow. Read Only is available.

Searching the catalog and viewing estimates are read actions. Sending a sourcing request and booking, changing, or cancelling a meeting are write actions, and Muse asks for your approval before they run. To disconnect, open Settings and then Connectors in Muse. We stop access when you disconnect.

Availability and limits

  • The catalog and estimates are in English and Japanese.
  • Delivery depends on the destination country and export rules. A quote states what is possible.
  • A contract is formed only when we confirm your order by email.
  • The connector does not take payments.
  • Requests are rate limited. If you reach a limit, Muse tells you when to try again.
