muse-connector

Last updated: November 4, 2026

Current status: [L1: replace this sentence at launch] Roots Wood Japan Service is in preparation. It is not yet available in Muse, and the connection address on this page is planned and not yet in service.

Roots Wood Japan Service is a connector for Muse, Meta’s AI agent. It is a single point of contact for companies that need products, suppliers, information, or support connected with Japan. You can look through what we offer, send us a request, and come back to the same place for our replies, quotes, and finished work.

Who runs it

Roots Wood is a sole proprietorship based in Noda, Chiba, Japan. People at Roots Wood review every request and carry out the work. The connector is planned to run at service-mcp.toolmaker2001.uk, a domain we own and operate. We keep it separate from this website for security reasons.

What we help with

  • Information on products, parts, makers, and suppliers
  • Research on markets, demand, competitors, companies, and products
  • Finding sources in Japan and alternative candidates
  • Sales channel development and marketing support
  • Advice on logistics conditions and arrangements
  • Consulting, business improvement, and support using AI and MCP technology
  • Research reports, comparison tables, and proposals

Each service lists what we need from you, sample deliverables, and how fees and timing are set. We do not hold stock.

The two tools

Tool Role Type
japan_service_input Sends your request, message, change, revision request, or cancellation request to Roots Wood, saves it, and returns a request number and status Sensitive write
japan_service_output Searches our public list and returns the status, replies, quotes, and deliverables of your own requests Read

Input and Output describe the direction from our point of view: information coming in to us, and information going out to you. The tool types above are what we declare. Muse makes the final classification in its review and shows its own approval prompts.

How it works

  1. Ask Muse what we offer, or search our list.
  2. Send a request through Muse. The connector checks that the items needed for that service are present.
  3. We save the request and give you a request number. This means we received it. It does not mean we have accepted the work.
  4. A person at Roots Wood reviews it, then replies, asks a question, sends a quote, or declines.
  5. Ask Muse for the latest status. Muse retrieves our reply or finished work through the connector.

The connector does not push messages into your Muse conversation. Ask Muse to check your request when you want an update. [D6: keep the next sentence only if update emails are adopted] We may also send a short email to your sign-in address saying that there is an update. That email does not contain the reply itself.

What people do

The connector receives requests and returns information. People at Roots Wood review requests, carry out research, decide whether to accept work, write replies and quotes, and prepare deliverables. Timing depends on the request and is stated in our reply or quote.

What is available in this version

  • Searching our public list of services, products, parts, makers, suppliers, and reports
  • Sending a request, adding a message, changing a request, and asking for a revision or cancellation
  • Checking status and reading replies, quotes, and text deliverables for your own requests

What is not available in this version

  • Placing orders, signing contracts, or accepting a quote through the connector
  • Payments and refunds through the connector
  • Buying goods, shipping, returns, or tracking through the connector
  • Sending file attachments through the connector
  • Direct notifications into Muse conversations

Work we agree outside the connector is governed by our quote and Terms of Service.

Example requests

  • What services does Roots Wood offer for finding a supplier in Japan, and what do you need from me?
  • Search the Roots Wood list for makers in Japan that match this part.
  • Ask Roots Wood to research the Japanese market for this product.
  • What is the status of my request?
  • Has Roots Wood replied to my request? Show me the latest message.
  • Show me the report delivered for my request.
  • Ask Roots Wood to cancel my request.

Sign-in and access

  • The connector requires an account. You sign in with OAuth, using a one-time code sent to your email address. We do not use passwords.
  • You can choose Read Only access. With Read Only, Muse can use japan_service_output but cannot send anything to us.
  • You can see only your own requests. A request number alone does not give access to a request.
  • To disconnect, open Settings and then Connectors in Muse. We stop access when you disconnect.

Your data

We save your email address, your requests, messages, replies, quotes, and deliverables so that we can provide the service. Roots Wood staff can read them in order to do the work. Other customers cannot. Details are in our Privacy Policy.

Limits

  • Requests are accepted in English and Japanese.
  • Some requests are declined, including illegal, counterfeit, or restricted goods.
  • We do not provide legal, tax, investment, or medical advice.
  • We are not a customs broker or a carrier.
  • The service is for businesses and people aged 18 or over.
  • Rate limits apply.
